Shelli Coe Artist Page

Shelli is the daughter of country music legend David Allan Coe. She was born in Nashville and raised in Austin, so you might say that country music is in her blood, as well as her heart.

Shelli’s first major public performance came at the age of 3, when she appeared on her father’s Family Album release. Later, she toured with her father as a backup singer, before striking out on her own.

At the end of the tour with her father, Shelli landed in Branson, Missouri, where she met and collaborated with many singer/songwriters. During this time, she performed in clubs and did radio voice-overs, continuing to hone her skills as a songwriter and performer.

Her time in Branson culminated with the recording of Branson Songwriters Out in the Streets, an album which won much praise from the local country music establishment.

After Branson, Shelli returned to Austin, where she immediately immersed herself in the thriving music scene. After taking a couple of years off to get married and start a family, in 2006 Shelli returned to the music business with renewed energy.

Shelli has surrounded herself with a fine group of veteran musicians, and her first full-length CD, A Girl Like Me, was released on January 20, 2010 on Big Beard Records.
